Alyssa and Allan first met each other while attending Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland – class of 2011! Though they never spoke or had a relationship back then, they ended up connecting during the summer of 2012 and dated for a few months. However, their relationship was short lived and they mutually decided to go their separate ways for several years. 

About 6 years later, Allan decided on a whim to reach out to Alyssa and invite her for a sushi date. Alyssa said “Yes”, despite her not liking sushi very much. It was during this date that they reconnected and quickly realized how much they had both grown since dating that summer at the age of 18. From that moment on, they were inseparable and couldn’t wait to spend time with one another! Needless to say, Alyssa enjoys sushi now. 

Two apartments, two cats, and a newly purchased home later, Allan decided that it was time to propose during the summer of 2021. They are excited to spend many, many happy years growing together! 

When we asked Alyssa and Allan when they knew marriage was the next chapter in their love story, Alyssa shared, “We decided that we wanted to recognize our commitment to each other. We love one another, share the same ideals, goals, and desire to build a family together.”

Together Alyssa and Allan enjoy catching up on their favorite TV series, and watching horror films. As a couple they share a love for food (calling themselves ‘foodies’) and enjoy trying new restaurants, food-trucks, or simply cooking a nice meal at home. On nice, sunny days, they like to go to wineries and breweries. They also love traveling and although COVID-19 postponed a lot of their planned travels, they can’t wait to keep on exploring new places all around the world! You can also find them attending concerts and sporting events (especially the NFL). Alyssa is a die-hard Cowboys fan while Allan loves the Ravens. Their Sundays during football season consist of food, drinks, and friends. One of the things they love most is spending time with family, including their two cats – Bernie and June.

Above everything else, Alyssa and Allan value trust, communication, and respect.
