A Frederick Wedding Photographer & Videographer's Look Into Their Love Story
About their Wedding
Show Some Love For Brittany “Mickey” & Edwin “Frankie”
What Brought These Two Together
What brought you two together?
I was broken-hearted from a previous relationship and as a friend Frankie comforted and supported me. We would talk late into the night, when I had downtime during my night shifts as a nurse and he was playing video games. Over time, we developed strong feelings for each other. We were initially afraid to open our hearts to each other for fear of heartbreak or losing our friendship, but ultimately thought it was worth giving it a try.
Why did you decide to get married?
I knew that Frankie was the one when I realized that everything I lacked in my previous relationship I received from him. He showed me what it meant to truly love someone and have that same love reciprocated back, without hesitation, restraint, or doubt. He showed me what unconditional love felt like and I wanted nothing more to give that back to him for he deserved that and so much more.
I knew that I wanted to be by Mickey’s side forever during one of my surgeries that limited my ability to walk. I was already fully aware of how much she loved me, how much she let me love her, and how accepting she was of my true self, but the way that she cared for me when I couldn’t properly care for myself helped me make my final decision. All my life, people that I loved walked away from me (I guess I had some part in that). But Mickey didn’t. Even though I’m temperamental, even though I require a lot of time to myself, even though I’m not a traditional male, Mickey never left. And that means the world to me.
