What Brought These Two Together

Once upon a time, Casey worked at a Mexican restaurant for a few years. Cody’s sister, Kaitlin, happened to work alongside her at the same restaurant. Cody and Casey had gone to the same school together, in the same grade but did not know one another (It was a big class!). This all changed when Kaitlin gave Cody the idea to ask Casey out to prom; neither Casey nor Cody had dates; both had intended on going with friends.

One day, Cody came into the Mexican restaurant to pick up a take out order; and at that moment, taking Kaitlin’s advice, asked Casey to Prom (Side Note: They had never met each other prior to this moment, let alone seen one another to their knowledge). Numbers were exchanged, and they went to prom as their first date. After a wonderful prom and first date, Cody asked Casey to be his girlfriend and eventually his fiancé!

When we asked this adorable couple when they knew marriage was the next step, Casey shared, “We have been dating for about 9 and a half years, love continues to grow each day with the both of us and marriage is a special time to make our love official and to have those who love us and who we love dearly witness our love grow even more towards one another.”

Together, Casey & Cody enjoy hanging out with family and friends, watching movies together, and playing games (card, board, drinking, all of the above!). They also love trying new restaurants, wineries and breweries, and walking around parks and lakes together.

Above everything else, Cody and Casey value trust & honesty, kindness & respect, and communication. They both agree this is the key to ensuring cohesiveness, understanding and to prevent misunderstanding.
