What brought you two together?

In February of 2019 I (Casey) transferred into a new group at work where I met Jake. We didn’t talk much until Jake offered to make me a cup of coffee after I told him about my sleepless night with my new puppy, he just got two kittens recently so he could relate to my new pet parent stress. Over the next year our work friendship continued to grow, morning coffee became a regular thing as well as sharing photos and stories of each others pets.
Eventually Jake accepted a new job at a different company, we still kept in touch but it wasn’t long before we realized how much we missed spending time together, I ended up asking him to meet me at a brewery and while we were catching up I think we both realized how much we liked each other, had our first kiss and have been together ever since.

Why did you decide to get married?

We are both the kind of people that wanted not only to find someone to spend our life with but to also find someone to experience all of life with. Even though we haven’t known each other long in years I feel like I can’t remember what life was like without him and when I think of the future his face is the only one I could picture when I think about marriage, children, and everything else after that.
We started joking about marriage on our way to my (Jake’s) brother’s wedding in July of 2021, the thought became more and more real as time went on, and on June 28th 2022 I called Casey into our room to help fold laundry but surprised her by being on my knee instead. She’s my best friend, and I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.

What are your top 5 things to do together:

We both love to cook, we often look up recipes together and will help each other out in the kitchen
Along with cooking we love to eat, we love to try new restaurants and different types of food.
We both love to be outside and go on hikes, we recently were in Washington state and hike Mt Rainer.
When we are home 99% of our time is dedicated to our mini zoo, we have three cats, a dog, and a bunny who are all cuddle bugs.
And when we finally get time to relax we just like to sit, listen to music, and go over our day together.

What are 3 values that you two share? 

We greatly value our time together, life gets so busy and it’s easy to get lost in it, and we have realized how quickly life goes by so we always try to make sure we have quality time together.
We both value family, we have a lot of love for each others and we can’t wait to start out own one day

And we both value the simple things in life, our garden, morning coffee time, the little thing we do every day.
