What brought you two together?

We grew up in the same town, so we always knew each other, but not super well until High School. We started dating our Sophomore year and connected on having similar friend groups, both being involved in sports, and both being serious about school. We would study together for the classes that we were both in after school and sometimes even before school. A relationship in high school continued into college where I studied at Virginia Tech and Eric studied 4 hours away at the University of South Carolina. We made it through the struggles of long distance to where we are today getting married in less than a year.

Why did you decide to get married?

We are getting married because we are a great fit and we love eachother deeply. Over the last 10 years, we had the opportunity to grow up together and learn about each other in ways that are hard to describe. We both have the same values in life and we want to start a family one day, so marriage is the next thing on our life to do list! Since we have been dating for over 10 years, it was never a question of “do you know he/she is the one?” but more a question of “what time is best for us?” Eric and I have known for a long time that we were going to get married. We would openly talk about what our lives would look like together once we are married and have kids. We just wanted to get married on our timeline and make sure we were secure in our careers, lived on our own, and had some money saved to have the wedding of our dreams. November 10th, 2023 is the perfect time for us.
