What Brought These Two Together

Chase and Emily’s story is one of persistent love, their coming together is a testimate to that. After many years of interest and little attempts at communication, they finally exchanged numbers. Prior to their courtship, they were really good friends. They learned about each other through question games and long conversations while Chase was deployed in Afghanistan. Through the trials of life, they both went on painful, uncommon, difficult journeys that made them grow up faster and gifted them with appreciation and perspective. With the depth and richness of their friendship, how they were able to be a light through each other’s journey, and how they learned to understand what each other’s needs and wants are, they quickly knew it was right to be together.

When I asked Emily why they wanted to get married she said “We both undeniably knew that we were made for each other and couldn’t live without each other. After returning home from deployment Chase was driving home from Fort Bragg every weekend and on the few that he didn’t that year.. I was driving up there. We were spending almost all of our time together even though we were living 6 hours apart. Our love grew quickly and we knew we wanted to be together forever. We were really passionate about starting our life together and growing our family.”

Their engagement story is adorable!  Chase asked Emily on the gun range.  While they were shooting he asked Emily to look through the binoculars and tell him where he was hitting on the target, she kept telling him he was “high and to the right” over and over, not even noticing the words in the heart. After telling her to “look again” and “look closer” multiple times she finally spotted the words “Will you marry me”! Emily swore he wouldn’t be able to surprise her but he did! September 22nd, 2019 Chase asked Emily if I would be his wife.

Chase and Emily love spending time with their kids, binge-watch documentaries, traveling and exploring new places, working on new projects, and visiting breweries. Above anything else Emily and Chase value family, honesty, and communication. I know with these at the center of their relationship they will last the test of time.

The Wedding Venue

Blue Bird Manor is an absolutely phenomenal venue in Frederick Maryland. So many times we go to barn venues and the grass is wilted and weathered, the barn is in lackluster condition, but not Bluebird! They are sod farmers so the grounds are always stunning, the trees are beautiful and the barn’s are in perfect condition. I love everything about this venue.

The Wedding Videography Team

My second Steven and I had a blast at this wedding. Steven shot the girls I shot the guys getting ready. Everyone was in good spirits, lots of laughs, fun and tears. Even though we got rained on during the ceremony, Emily and Chase were still filled with joy. To celebrate a moment like this with such a special couple means the world to me and my team. I look forward to all thats in store for these two lovebirds!
