What Brought These Two Together

Chad and Kayla first met when she landed a new job as an IT Project Manager with the federal government. Chad had been working there as a computer programmer since his college internship. She began to lead the small team and they quickly discovered Chad and Kayla worked great as a team building applications for their customers. Over work breaks and lunches at the office, their friendship grew. One day at a local winery Chad told Kayla he was interested in more than a friendship with her, but he didn’t want to compromise their working relationship. They continued to be friends and a few months later began to explore a more personal relationship outside of work.

When we asked Chad and Kayla when they knew marriage was the next step for them, Kayla shared, “We quickly realized we made a great team outside of work as well as discovering we share similar interests and values. Our differences seemed to compliment each other and helped us to grow while we enjoyed sharing our similar interests. Rarely disagreeing, we found that we wanted the same things in life and started to build a life together. We wanted to share a future and the adventures of life…together.”

In their free time, Kayla and Chad enjoy adventuring together on hikes, going for walks, and traveling together. They also like to garden and practice photography. When they aren’t exploring new places, you can find them at home playing board games.

Three things Kayla and Chad value as a couple are environmentalism and sustainability, creating a nice and welcoming home, and learning and growth (personal, intellectual, and in skills/hobbies)/
