People always say that love finds you when you are least expecting it. This was exactly the case for Kendra and Justin! It all began one day at the automotive and collision repair business Kendra’s family owned. As fate would have it, Justin had just so happened to have brought his truck there to get worked on. He had attempted to grab her attention with a few friendly Snapchats, but Kendra had never thought anything of it. That was until one day when Justin asked if Kendra could take him to pick up his truck because his dad had to unload a new tractor they had bought, and his mom had been out of town. Kendra at first was hesitant and decided to ask her mom, Tammy, and her best friend, Jenny, for some expert advice about Justin. Ironically, their advice was, “Just take him. It’s not like you have to marry him!” Little did they know that after Kendra took their advice and drove Justin to get his truck, he ended up asking her to go get ice cream – the real way to Kendra’s heart. And they’ve been glued together ever since!

When we asked how Justin and Kendra knew marriage was the next step in their relationship, they both shared that they had talked about marriage throughout their relationship. They also loved to talk and dream of all the big plans they want for their lives. Kendra shared, “Justin had told me he had a ring on my birthday, but we ended up not getting engaged. I was kind of disappointed and wondered what Justin’s plan was. Little did I know we would get engaged in OBX with not only my family there, but he also proposed with my mom’s ring! We are just so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends!”

In their free time, this couple likes to be outdoors – Justin enjoys hunting, hiking, and hunting for morel mushrooms in the spring. Kendra and Justin also both share a love of fishing; Kendra used to catfish with her dad on his boat, and Justin is an avid fisherman. In the summertime, you can find them spending most of their weekends on the boat. Aside from the water, they love being on the farm together. With both of their families being farmers, they share the hope for their future children to grow up on the farm one day. Kendra and Justin also love to spend time with their fur-child, Nittany, an Australian Shepard. Of course, this adorable couple loves to reminisce about how their relationship began by going to get ice cream any chance they get!
