How did you two meet?

Kimberly & Carolyn’s love story began 15 years ago thanks to a relocation and a little help of technology making their paths cross. Carolyn had traveled up to Maryland from Louisiana to cover a leave at a hospital. Since she was not from the area, she headed to Myspace with the hopes of meeting and connecting with new friends. This is where Kimberly enters the story. 

Kimberly and Carolyn hit it off instantly with some fun banter and sparks flew immediately. While there were a few roadblocks to navigate along with way to happily ever after, their relationship and love has only grown stronger – after all, love conquers all. 

How did the proposal happen?

Their proposal story was a master plan well thought out and directed by Kimberly. It began with a collection of notes Carolyn was known for leaving Kimberly in the mornings before work. (Side note: Carolyn is secretly a poet and would always write fun and clever poems for Kimberly about random things each day on a post-it). Kimberly decided to take these colorful post-it’s and use them to spell  out the words, “Will You Marry Me?”. The thoughtful plan didn’t stop there though. With the help of a friend, Kimberly created a video to surprise Carolyn with reflecting on their love and journey together so far. 

For the icing on the cake, Kimberly planned to reveal the video during a holiday gathering with friends – the perfect setting and distraction! Just as a slideshow began to play, Kimberly excused herself just before the surprise video appeared on the screen! Once the video ended, she reappeared and (cue their friends!) a sheet was dropped revealing the post-it notes spelling the big question. Carolyn was completely surprised and said YES! They ended the night celebrating with their families (who were hiding in the other room)!
