Monica and Marco’s love story began from a meeting straight out of a movie script – his mother and her father were next door neighbors. After Monica graduated from grad school, she moved in with her father. Right away, Marco’s mother noticed her new neighbor and went into matchmaking mode realizing she had the perfect guy in mind to set her up with, her son! One day while his mom was outside doing yard work, Monica happened to be taking out the trash. His mom saw it as the perfect opportunity to share her idea. She explained to her how she felt that Monica would be a good fit for her son, and she gave her Marco’s number. Shortly after this random conversation, the Monica and Marco began texting a little before officially planning to go on a blind date. On their first date they share tacos, margaritas and many laughs. And from that moment on, the rest is history!

When we asked Monica and Marco when they knew marriage was the next chapter in their love story, Monica shared, “To lock him into being my best friend forever.”

In their free time, Monica and Marco enjoy hanging out with family and friends, and relaxing on the couch together. You can also find them laughing, being silly together, and arguing over who is cooking the “right” way.

Above everything else, Monica and Marco value spending time with family, humbling yourself and working hard, and supporting each other’s goals and dreams.
