What Brought These Two Together

When you are in a moment of depravity in your life it is sometimes hard to see the big picture. Sometimes the trials of life, our hang-ups, and our mistakes turn out to be our biggest chances for growth and opportunity. This couldn’t be more true for Nicole and Jake. Nicole said to me, “People always look at me funny when I tell them I met Jake at a recovery center. However, that’s the truth. We were both going through a really hard and pivotal time in our life. We had both struggled with addiction and were working hard to better ourselves and our lives. We met in the midst of all of the craziness that is the journey of recovery. Instantly we had a deep connection and became a large support system for each other.” What a beautiful thing that through their rocky roads they found a glimmer of light within one another and they strive to bring the light to life. Their recovery came first, but they couldn’t help knowing that what they have was something special. Over time, they have built an amazing life together, have been each other’s shoulder to lean on, and absolute best friend.

When I asked Nicole why she wanted to marry Jake she said, “Honestly, I have known I wanted to marry Jake since the first week we met. He tells me he knew he loved me then too. Over the last few years, our whole life has been dreaming and planning for our future together. There was never a moment that we doubted we would spend the rest of our lives together. As we’ve grown and matured over the years we want more and more to start our own family and decided we were ready to take the next step into marriage. It’s the most natural and exciting transition!”

Jake and Nicole love lazy days floating on the river, kayaking, riding four-wheelers, adventure to new places, and doing home renovation projects. Above anything else Nicole & Jake value family, loyalty, and integrity.

We at TLIC Media are so happy to congratulate the Mr. and Mrs. McInturff
