What Brought These Two Together

Tell me what brought you together. :

We worked on cruise ships (Royal Caribbean), and met on our last contract on Oasis of the Seas. We had many friends in common, but never actually met until that last contract. Max’s roommate and my roommate were together at the time, and we were kind of forced to hangout with each other. We got along really well from the moment we met. A lot of our friends would tell us that we had great chemistry, and even if we didn’t end up together it was special enough to make sure that we stayed in each other’s lives. It took us a long time to really be honest with ourselves and actually start dating, but once we did there was no turning back. Both of us knew that if we were going to do this, that it was going to be end game and we needed to be ready for that. Luckily enough we were!

Why did you decide to get married?:

The first year of our relationship was really tough because we had to not only deal with the distance, but also boarder closures due to covid. The first time I was supposed to come visit Max in Canada I was about 3 hours out, when we got the news that the boarder was going to close on both sides. I literally had to stop driving, give myself a good 20 minute cry, and then turn around and drive home. Max was able to come to Maryland for a few weeks in the summer where he got to meet my family and friends, and I was finally able to get to Canada in January of 2021 (almost a year after my first attempt). It was during that trip that we really decided that we didn’t want to do this apart anymore, and got married at a drive through in Niagara Falls.

What are your top 5 things to do together?:

– Watch movies and television shows

– Go hiking

– Spend time with our Families

What are 3 values that you two share? :

-The importance of family

– Doing what makes you happy

– Always support each other
