Show Some Love For Rob & Gibson
What Brought These Two Together
Rob moved to Washington, DC in the Summer of 2006 and Gibson moved in the Summer of 2014. They met while singing in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC, and quickly became enamored with one another. Shared love of travel, adventurous food, a 45-minute pun-filled chat conversation, only involving types of birds, and Gibson’s marathon, 3-day birthday cake preparation for Rob helped seal the deal!
They celebrate their dating anniversary on January 1, 2015.
Shortly after dating, Gibson began his Graduate Degree in Beijing, China, so they visited one another, and when Gibson finished his year abroad, he moved in with Rob and never left!
In August of 2019, on a family trip, they became engaged when Gibson proposed to Rob at one of his favorite nature spots: Thuya Gardens in Bar Harbor, Maine (Spoiler alert: He said ‘YES!’)
Two years later, smack in the middle of the pandemic, Rob returned the proposal at their home in Wheaton, MD (Gibson needed a ring, too!).
Soon, after seven years of dating, Gibson and Rob will be married – pandemic be damned! – surrounded by family and loved ones. We can’t wait to share the day with you!
