Stone Manor Country Club
Take a trip over the mountains and through the woods to Stone Manor Country Club you go! This quaint and historic venue sits in the heart of Middletown Valley in Frederick County Maryland.Â
The Layout
I love looking at Stone Manor from the sky The grounds are covered in trees, there is a pond after you come across the long and beautiful driveway. The manor itself is surrounded by trees of all different kinds. This provides adequate shade for your guests to enjoy lawn games or cocktail hour under their beautiful covered patio.Â

The biggest problem I have with Stone Manor is that there are to many beautiful locations for pictures and videos! It is simply stunning. When you walk inside you see a double wide wrap-around staircase and chandelier. Upstairs you will find the extra-large bridal suite with plenty of natural light. Downstairs in a restaurant looking area you will find the groomsmen prep area.Â
There are at least 15 legitimate spots you could do your ceremony at. Bryan makes sure that no matter what part of the grounds you want to get married on, his team will make it happen. I like the location seen in the picture. You get the manor as your background and the sun is in a more favorable position for lighting sake.Â

Newly renovated, they added a reception hall that seats a maximum of 230 guests. I like the simplicity of the hall but don’t think it quite matches the historic and countryside feel of the rest of the venue. However it is a great space and is much better than using a tent like brides past had to do.Â
The Positives
There are a plethora of reasons why Stone Manor is a positive experience for couples. I love how beautiful the venue is. The first time I filmed a wedding there I was surprised at how well the grounds were maintained and how many photogenic spots there were. Here are my top 5 positive feedbacks for Stone Manor.
- The grounds are stunningÂ
- The manor has plenty of spaceÂ
- There are multiple ceremony locationsÂ
- The catering team delivers amazing foodÂ
- It has space for many people to spend the nightÂ

The Negatives
I know Brian, the venue coordinator, very well. He is pretty direct in his speaking and does not like to compromise on his guidelines. I know that a couple that doesn’t know him well would probably love him or hate him depending on their experience. However, he will go the extra mile for every couple on their wedding day. I see him going to get them water and food, cleaning up their messes, and helping everyone have a great time even though he isn’t getting paid to do so.Â
During the pandemic of 2020, every vendor was faced with some hard decisions. Many went out of business because they gave refunds to every couple that asked. I know that Brian more than likely made accommodations for the review below but wasn’t willing to compromise giving her money back.Â
Overall I can’t picture someone having a negative review of Stone Manor if the pandemic didn’t add this extra stress. See the brides review below.Â
