What Brought These Two Together

What brought you two together?

We actually went to prom with two separate dates junior year of high school. Our dates ended up leaving us for each other, so Jacob and I ended up hanging out all evening. We then got sat next to each other in our biology class senior year because our names were in alphabetical order. We spent that next year becoming closer!

Why did you decide to get married?

We decided to get married because we are in a good place to do so now. We have been together 8 years, but we were doing long distance for a long time because I was in Pennsylvania for school while he was working in Maryland. We are excited that after so long apart, we never have to be apart again! Our marriage solidifies the bond and commitment to each other we have been building over the last 8 years.

What are your top 5 things to do together:

Our top 5 things to do together are to go camping, hang out for comfy days at home on the weekends, travel, eat, and spend a lot of time with our friends and family! We would travel the world in a heartbeat if we had the time (and money!) and we are excited to explore and adventure more together.

What are 3 values that you two share?

two share? : Our greatest value we share is the importance of family. We are both incredibly close with our families and we have been lucky enough to introduce our families to each others’, and they all get along very well! We also value our friendships and are grateful to have our longtime friends be in our wedding parties. Another value we share is the importance of communication. Good communication has been the foundation of our relationship since the very beginning, and it is important to us to make sure we are always communicating clearly and respectfully with each other and our loved ones.
