What Brought These Two Together

Grant and Kayla have a love built on shared values and common interests. For starters, they both have a competitive spirit and love sports. On a big picture scale, they have a shared love for family and on a smaller scale, they love laughing at :lame jokes”. They are excited to officially be Mr. and Mrs. and spend a lifetime adventuring, making memories, and laughing together!

When we asked them when they knew marriage was the next chapter in their love story Grant shared, ” Because she is the type of person that makes me want to be a better man.”

Some of their favorite things to do together are traveling and exploring new places, staying in to play computer games, and sharing a meal. They also love to laugh and play with their dog.

Above everything else, Grant and Kayla value honesty, kindness, and respect.

Here’s a glimpse into their “Stohrybook” love story in their own words –

We buzzed into one another’s lives by chance, risk, and of course proximity. A blind date set up in April of 2018 for Copper Canyon Grill @ The Rio set off a romance that can only be described as “Stohrybook”. We set off on a journey where friendship and teamwork was always the underlying value. We maintained that we were “just friends” for the better part of a year after that first date, but we were inseparable. During the first year of friendship we went on trips together, attended weddings, family functions, and still maintained the team mentality that we were just friends. After that first year of building an amazing friendship we decided to take a well deserved vacation to Mexico – there must’ve been something in the water, because when we returned home in July of 2019 they we were officially dating! We were deeply in love from the beginning and decided that moving in together would be the most ideal situation so in September of 2019 we did just that. The trials and tribulations during the pandemic of 2020 certainly challenged everyone, but we only grew our bond. We experienced loss, sickness, and plenty of stress in 2020 – through each challenge we continued to grow and strengthen our relationship. 2021 saw the opening of more public places and made traveling more feasible. With the opportunity to travel back in play we decided to take yet another trip to Mexico to relax and unwind, however Grant had other ideas. It was July 21, 2021 when Grant decided to ask the woman he loves to marry him and this is where the next chapter of the love story begins. #StohrybookEnding #WishGranted #MarryingMcConaughey
