Show Some Love For Haley & Patrick
What Brought These Two Together
Tell me what brought you together
Patrick and Haley attended the same elementary school growing up. Haley had a crush on Patrick when they rode the bus together during her fifth-grade year and Patrick’s fourth-grade year.
The two formally met through mutual friends in high school, and the rest was history. From the beginning of their friendship, they always had a special connection. They bonded over shared interests, especially music. They became closer during journalism class.
Patrick and Haley drifted apart after COVID-19 hit and cut the school year short in 2020. Haley graduated in the spring of that year while Patrick still had one year left.
That fall, Haley went out to celebrate her birthday by having dinner with friends. Patrick happened to be working at the restaurant that night and they reconnected. They began talking more and more and ended up catching feelings for each other.
They went out on their first date on October 2, 2020, and started officially dating on October 13, 2020. Patrick and Haley quickly became inseparable. Hockey games, movie nights, coffee runs, car jam sessions, and milkshake dates were some of their favorite things to do together.
Why did you decide to get married?
On December 7, 2021, Patrick left for Navy boot camp, and the long-distance chapter of their relationship began. The distance brought the two closer and made their relationship even stronger. On June 6, 2022, Patrick proposed to Haley on the beach in Pensacola, Florida while she was visiting him during his training.
Patrick received his orders for Yokosuka, Japan in August of 2022, leaving the couple with a tough choice to make. The future was unknown. On September 29, 2022, they got married with their families by their sides and Patrick left for Japan less than a week later.
On May 28, 2023, Patrick and Haley will finally get to celebrate their marriage and share their love with family and friends. Like most newlyweds, they’re excited to start their lives together. However, for them, this beginning will take place on the other side of the world. Japan here they come!
