Tell me what brought you together

Our story first began when we met 11 years ago at a party at the end of 2011. Jillian cheated at Apples to Apples by picking Joe’s cards all night to get him to notice her…and he just thought he was REALLY good at the game. After 4 months of bowling nights with the high school crew, dinners, school dances, lacrosse games and movie dates, Joe finally asked Jillian to officially be his girlfriend in April of 2012.

Why did you decide to get married?

Getting married after being together for 11 years was a no brainer, we just had to let our finances catch up with our goals and plans. There is no one else we would rather continue to spend the rest of our lives with then each other and we never take a moment of our long lasting relationship for granted. Marriage was always the goal, we just took a long route to get here!

What are your top 5 things to do together?

It is hard to just pick 5!
Traveling
Trying new foods (whether cooking it or out somewhere)
Playing pickleball/working out
Watching our favorite sports teams (Commanders, Capitals, Terps and Orioles)…win or lose
Make each other laugh at the end of every day

Honesty
Not taking life too seriously, but valuing the people and moments we have with them
