Julie and Danny’s 10-year love story began at McDaniel College in Westminister, Maryland. Both involved with sports, Danny played baseball and Julie played field hockey. It was their love for sports that first brought them together as they first met and continued to bump into each other at team socials. The flame started to ignite at the first party they attended together called “Drinking around the World”. The dress code of the party added a humorous twist – Julie had attended the party with a curly mustache painted on her (France) and Danny (Russia) had offered her a shot of cheap vodka.

As the story goes from there, as Danny recalls, Julie played hard to get, although Julie was a bit conflicted if she was ready to begin an official relationship. Then over the summer things took a turn when Danny pulled out the ultimate move before the phrase even existed and “slid into Julie’s DMs” on Twitter. However, Danny went about this not by privately messaging her, but publicly tweeting her on a regular basis for three months. What devotion! At one point, Julie was considering transferring from McDaniel, but Danny used some magic to convince her to stay. He agreed to take her to see the new Harry Potter if she decided to stay and attend school in the fall. Julie said yes! And the rest was history except for one fun fact…Danny never did take her to see the movie! He more than made up for this by writing Julie a rap song for her field hockey team. This song ended up getting on the warmup cd before every home game!

Julie and Danny are on their way to celebrating 10 years together! After experience life’s highs and lows together, they could not imagine going through life without each other. After saving up for their dream wedding, they are thrilled to be getting married and officially beginning their forever!

This couple loves to stay busy by going to the beach and wine tastings, attending concerts and sporting events, spending time with their friends and family, taking road trips (where Danny is always the driver and Julie his co-pilot).

A top-secret talent they both like to keep undercover is their love of dancing at weddings – Julie and Danny have gained the reputation of “killing the dance floor”. With their years of experience as wedding guests, it will be an epic moment to witness their first dance as husband and wife!
