The Layout
Founded in 1731, Raspberry Plain Manor is enriched with history and artistic appeal with elegant colonial architecture and spectacular countryside landscape. The property is highly regarded as one of Northern Virginia’s premier wedding destinations. It has been hosting wedding receptions, intimate rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, anniversaries, and corporate events since 1994. Raspberry Plain welcomes international weddings as well, ranging from South Asian, Asian, African, Middle-eastern, Latin, and European cultures.
This charming property is surrounded by trees and lush green lawns along the beautiful driveway, making it the best place to get married and get an experience that you will never forget. There are so many beautiful locations in the property that it makes it quite difficult to choose the ones for pictures and videos as you may want them all. The grounds are an ideal location for outdoor ceremonies or cocktails
The entrance is majestic with white pillars and when you walk inside there is an Entrance Hall that compliments the Ballroom as the perfect stand-up reception space for up to 200 guests. The floor is made of rich hardwood and ideal for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The Grand Ballroom features marvelous windows with stunning panoramic views of the majestic rolling countryside. The ballroom is large enough to accommodate 200 seated guests, with a dance floor and a band or DJ. The Grand Ballroom can also comfortably accommodate 200 guests theatre style as the perfect indoor alternative for a ceremony, or fabulous stand-up cocktail reception.
There is a Garden on the northern side of the manor with a beautiful Pergola and scenic vistas. The Southern Lawn showcases the imposing columns of the grand front facade. The Formal Gardens provide a fantastic intimate landscaped feel and experience.
The Positives
There are various reasons why Raspberry Plain Manor is a positive experience for couples. I loved the venue myself. It has a private residence upstairs with a gorgeous old-fashioned feel. The downstairs has multiple rooms that can be used for cocktail hours, gift tables, guest books, and more. I went there to film a wedding and there are so many beautiful spots to click photos. Here are my positive feedbacks for Raspberry Plain Manor.

Having our wedding at Raspberry Plain Manor was an absolute dream. The venue itself is gorgeous and perfectly captured our vision for our wedding day. We had the pleasure of working with Melissa who was there with us every step of the way (including answering our many late night random questions). Having our wedding during COVID times is stressful enough but Melissa and the Raspberry Plains team was there to assist us and offer suggestions to make sure everyone felt comfortable while also being able to enjoy the day. I threw Melissa a bit of a curve ball asking if there was anyway we could project a video of best man speech during the reception (one of our best men had been deployed a month prior) and she handled it with ease and helped set everything up directly with our DJ behind the scenes. She and the entire Raspberry Plains team are true professionals and will do anything to make your day exactly how you envision it. We used their in-house caterer of Gala Cuisine and even 3 months later our guests are still talking about how good the food was! All in all... we are extremely pleased with the experience we had with Raspberry Plain and would recommend it to everyone.
The Negatives
Located on a picturesque area in Leesburg, Virginia Raspberry Plain Manor is an ideal venue for someone who loves the historic vibes and wants to have a magnificent wedding. The venue has plenty of space for your guests. The Thomas Farm is a historic farm dating back to 1760 and the most convenient place to stay when hosting your event there. It can accommodate up to 14 guests and has 4 Kings, 2 Queens, and 1 Full-sized room. It has all the modern amenities such as premium bedding, full-length mirrors, flat-screen TVs, luxury en-suite baths, Alexa and high-speed WiFi, and ample free overnight parking. I do not see any negatives about this property.

The venue is pretty and the staff we worked with the day of and just prior to our wedding were good. Dawn specifically was amazing to work with she truly was exemplary in her duties the day of our wedding. Her attention to detail and all of her help was much appreciated. The venue contract and there policy on refunds or lowering guest counts then raising the cost per head was inexcusable. To go from 75 guest at about 150 a head to being told if I have less guests it would be over 300 per head and a a terrible way to do business. I won’t be recommending them to anyone in the future solely because of these gouging contractual agreements.
