What Brought These Two Together

From the bride:

Hi Everyone! Thank you for visiting our wedding website. This is our Love Story from my point of view. I hope you enjoy!

XO,

Tess

The first time Kyle and I met was at the good ol’ Morgan Inn! Where else?! I was out for an evening with some girlfriends and Kyle showed up with our mutual friend, Jon. Kyle and I made small talk for a few minutes; we mainly introduced ourselves to each other and chatted about our nights so far. It was at this point that I knew I had found the man I was going to marry. I walked over to Jon and filled him in about the future wedding that was going to take place. Jon proceeded to tell me that if I didn’t stop being crazy, he would never bring his friends around me again!

Fast forward one month .. New Years Eve. Kyle and I had not seen one another since that quick encounter weeks before. The one minute count down began as Jon and Kyle walked in. They walked over to me and my friend Lexie just in time. If memory serves right, midnight struck and Lexie said to Kyle, “You should probably kiss her now.” And that is exactly what happened. I can still remember the butterflies in my stomach.

Over the next few months, Kyle and I frequently talked about getting together but it seemed like life and time always got in the way. Finally, one evening I was out with my friend Taylor for dinner and drinks. Taylor was asking if anything ever happened with that guy Kyle or if I was going to see him again. I explained to her that Kyle is always in the shop working on four wheelers and motorcycles.. he seemed to be a very busy guy and I was not sure we would ever get together. Taylor took matters into her own hands and texted Kyle from my phone letting him know that I was coming over to keep him company and would bring some beer. He said that sounded good and off I went. I remember texting him asking what kind of beer he liked so I could grab it. He said anything was fine. I swear, I stood in that beer aisle for 15 minutes trying to remember what he was drinking the first time we met.

Kyle seemed a bit surprised when I got out of my car. I got the pack of Bud Light out of the back seat.. and yep, Kyle hates Bud Light! We had a good laugh and then ended up chatting until 2 am. From that evening- we have never run out of things to talk about.

I remember having a girls night with Katie and Ashton. I told them all about Kyle and how amazing the last month had been spending time with him. I told them the funny story about how we first met and that I was still pretty sure that I was going to marry him. They said how crazy will it be if you actually do?! Pretty crazy.

I had never really been on a motorcycle before Kyle. After we took a ride up to Pennsylvania one evening, he asked if I would like to take a longer ride in a few weeks. Of course I said yes because I really enjoyed riding with him! I asked where he was thinking and he replied, “Well, do you have a passport?” Those that know me best know that up until that point I didn’t leave Mt. Airy very often. I thought this guy was nuts! I was showing my friend Caitlin houses that day and told her about the upcoming trip. She thought he was nuts, too! I expedited a passport and agreed to go to Niagra Falls. I’m sure Kyle regretted bringing me as soon as I couldn’t seem to gather my words when the boarder patrol asked if I had anything I was not supposed to. Like I said, I wasn’t big on traveling! Niagra Falls is the most beautiful place I have ever seen and it was even better that I was there with my best friend.

Fast forward again.. another long evening in the shop. Kyle would always talk about his daughter, Jaidyn. I always would hear him on the phone with her saying goodnight. I remember him asking, ” Do you want to meet my daughter?” I was so excited that he finally invited me to meet her but I was also SO nervous! I was so lucky to have my girls and our group text.. “Da Babes” giving me advice and telling me it would be okay. Jaidyn and I made my favorite dessert and had an amazing evening together. We have become so close over the past two years.. It is a very special feeling knowing that I am not only gaining a husband when I marry Kyle.. I am gaining a family. I truly believe that Jaidyn made Kyle into the man he is today. The man that I love. and for that, I am so thankful. I am so lucky to be a Bonus Mom to the best little girl!

The Engagement!!!

December 2018- It was a long month of Jingle the Elf causing trouble in the house. It was also the first time in years that Santa would be visiting my home. December 25th, 5:00 am was the start of our day. Jaidyn was so excited to wake us up and open presents. Of course, I was half asleep and not ready to get up! Everyone made their way over to open gifts and have an amazing breakfast together. I remember someone saying that we should get a picture in front of the tree. So naturally, I picked up Chunk and walked over. Kyle told me that I should put Chunk down for the picture. Weird! I think I told him maybe he should get out of the picture!! HA. A few moments later I look over and Kyle was down on one knee. I think I was confused at first.. as if he was having Jaidyn sit on his knee for the picture or something! Finally I realized what was happening and OH MY GOD was I shocked! The love of my life asked me to become his wife that day.. it was the best Christmas ever! A week later we returned to Niagra Falls with Jaidyn to celebrate our engagement in our favorite place.. as a family.

Kyle and I are so excited to start our lives together and can’t wait for each of you to be a part of our special day!

Values & Activities

Tess and Kyle knew that it was time to get married and expand their family. Above anything, they value their family and friends, commitment, and constant continual growth.

If you ever run into Kyle or Tess it would probably be at their cabin in West Virginia or showing livestock together as a family at a local fair. They love to travel to new places, have backyard campfires, or get together with their friends.

A Look At The Team Behind The Scenes

The Wedding Venue

It was a hot but beautiful day at Walkers Overlook.  I appreciate the layout of this venue. It’s not over the top but it’s great if you are looking for a Frederick venue with a nice manor and plenty of space. I personally find it stunning and Kyle and Tess had the opportunity for an amazing sunset!

The Wedding Videography Team

My team and I were there to capture each moment of Tess and Kyle’s elopement and their big day. It was a great time for us to be behind the scenes at their wedding. It was a blast getting to know them and I can see that they have a special relationship that will last the test of time!

The Wedding Entertainment Team

Bill and Corey from Wizer Productions were on the scene and wow is all I can say! These guys come in as our highest recommended DJ for a reason. They do a great job of playing the music the couple wants and they control the reception in a way that only someone with experience can.

The Wedding Beauty Team

Glam Bridal Beauty as always came through big for the bridal party. It was a great team. The owner Ashley is so fun and professional. She made my job of getting video easy and even brought in their own lights to brighten up the hotel room.
